Meet the Pastors
Pastor Bryan Spicer
Bryan graduated from Baptist Bible College East in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies. He started off ministering in 1989 when Sandy, his wife and Bryan served in a start up church that their home church had planted in East Boston, MA. Bryan did the music and taught children and teens. In 1995 he was officially ordained to the Gospel ministry and hired as the Associate Pastor there. In 1999 Bryan started Bay State Baptist Church as the founding Pastor. Serving as Lead Pastor Bryan's goal in ministry is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. His hope is to raise up a large healthy church that honors and glorifies Jesus Christ by reaching people far from God but close to us.
Pastor Tim Chase
Tim Graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies (minor in Cross cultural communications) from Boston Baptist College and in 2017 Master of Business Administration, Finance Concentration from Columbia Southern University. At Heritage Park Baptist Church Tim served as a Children’s ministry teacher and College & Career Leader. In 2006 Tim and his wife Andrea joined Bay State Baptist Church and served as Youth Pastors for several years. Tim now serve as Excutive Pastor and his goal is to act as a facilitator for our Sunday services, helping to pair our volunteer leaders with service opportunities to help create an engaging worship experience.
Pastor Brian McGrath
Brian Graduated from Boston Baptist College in 1989 with a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies. Served at Heritage Park Baptist Church, he started in and spent the majority of time in Children's Ministry. In addition he Led College & Career Class, served as a Deacon, and filled in preaching for Pastor Edge. On Easter Sunday of 1999 Bryan and Brian with their families opened Bay State Baptist Church. As the Co-Founder, Associate Pastor, he spent majority of time in Children's Ministry, Leading Nursing Home Ministry, and serving as Business Manager. Most Recently Brian is Establishing Home-Based Small Groups. Brian's goal is to establish multiple continually running Small Groups in various local member's homes we call 'Circles', to help build our community and Christian growth at Bay State.
